ARL Flight - Arlington's new AAU Basketball Program!

Boys Mondays (4/3/23 - 5/15/23, no clinic on 4/27/23)

ARL Flight is Arlington Basketball Club’s AAU program.  Our mission with this new program is to provide Arlington families a local, affordable, and high-quality youth AAU basketball training program that fosters individual development while simultaneously developing a high level and competitive team-based cohort of players in each year group that are prepared for entering the Arlington High School basketball program after 8th grade.

This program is different and more competitive than the Arlington Travel Basketball program that plays in the winter (mid-November to early March).  The ARL Flight AAU program will hold open tryouts for the 2025-26 school year the program plays in the Fall and Spring. Please see below for grades and schedule. Each grade will select 10 players for the team based on the tryout results.  The goal of the travel basketball program is that every player gets placed on a team and the teams are leveled, A, B, C and so on.  The ARL Flight AAU program is a competitive program where the top 10 rated players make the team and compete in AAU programs in the Fall and Spring.  This program does NOT play in the winter during the travel basketball season, so there is no conflict.  This program is for players that are looking to play more often at a higher level.

We understand some players may participate in other spring and fall sports and there may be occasional conflicts but request the player attend as many of the practices as possible to ensure the team is ready to compete together at tournaments.

This program is for Arlington residents only.  The program is starting this Fall with boys teams in grades 4, 5 and 6.  We plan adding girls teams in Spring 2026 in addition to potentially adding boys 3rd, 7th and 8th grade teams.

Tryouts for the Fall season are in June (see below), offers to join the team will be sent out by the end of June, the season begins the week of September 8th. Tryouts for the Spring 26 season will be held in January.

How to Register: Fill your player’s info on this google form. There is no cost to attend tryouts. Interested players must attend one tryout to be considered for the team, attending both tryouts is preferable.
